- 10 cups popped popcorn
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 10 oz white chocolate chips or candy melts
- 1 tsp coconut oil
- 6 peppermint candy canes (crushed, and divided)
Add the popcorn to a very large bowl and sprinkle salt over the top. Set it aside. 10 cups popped popcorn, 1/4 tsp salt
Add the white chocolate and coconut oil to a small microwave safe bowl. Microwave in 30 second increments, stirring after each until you can stir it smooth. 10 oz white chocolate chips or candy melts, 1 tsp coconut oil
Pour the white chocolate and half the candy cane pieces over the top of the popcorn. Stir with a spatula until the popcorn is evenly coated. 6 peppermint candy canes
Spread the popcorn onto a cookie sheet lined, with parchment paper.
Sprinkle the remaining candy cane pieces over the top of the popcorn.
Let the popcorn set at room temperature until hardened. Break into pieces and enjoy.
- Add Chocolate - Melt about 1/2 cup of chocolate wafers, or chocolate chips in 20 second increments in the microwave, and drizzle over the top of the popcorn after spreading it out on the pan to give your popcorn a peppermint bark appearance and flavor.
- Extra Large Bowl - Use a very large bowl so you can fit all the popcorn, with extra room for stirring. If you don't have a really large bowl, separate the mixture into two smaller bowls to stir and coat.
- Extra Mix ins - For extra flavor, or a change in texture, add mini marshmallows, pretzels, or m&ms to the popcorn mixture.
