- Brownie Mix: And the eggs, oil, and water you need according to the box
- Butter: Use Unsalted or Salted Butter, at room temperature
- Powdered Sugar: Can also be called Confectioner’s Sugar, this will make your yummy frosting
- Heavy Cream: A little to make the frosting light and fluffy!
- Green Food Coloring: This will make your frosting look like green trees
- Sprinkles: We need some cute sprinkles on top to look like ornaments on our trees.

How to make Christmas Brownie Bites

Step 1: Make the brownies. Mix the brownie mix, eggs, oil and water together until combined. Spray the mini muffin pan with nonstick spray (or line them with mini muffin liners). Fill each of the spots about two thirds of the way full.

Step 2: Bake the Brownies. Bake until the brownies are done, test with a toothpick in the middle. Let them cool for about 10 minutes, then use a knife around the edges to help get the brownies out.

Step 3: Make the Buttercream Frosting. Cream the butter until its soft. Then add in the powdered sugar until its combined. Add in the cream, vanilla, salt, and green food coloring and mix until everything is combined and the frosting is smooth and fluffy.

Step 4: Pipe the Frosting. Put the frosting in a piping bag, or ziplock bag with a start tip. Twist the bag back and forth to get the Christmas tree look as you go up. Decorate the trees with sprinkles right after frosting them, before the frosting sets.
Tips and Tricks
- Prep the Pan: Even if your mini muffin pan is non stick you need to liberally grease the muffin pan. Even better use paper liners, because the brownies don’t always want to come out nicely. I lost a few in the process (that I just ate, but they weren’t cute enough to serve).
- Press in Brownie Tops: The brownie bites will likely dome a bit when they’re baking, gently press the tops in with a small teaspoon measuring spoon. This will help give a little indented space to hold the frosting nicely.

Storage Instructions
The brownie bites can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 or 4 days. The frosting will harden a bit, but the brownies will stay soft enough to enjoy. You’ll want a high container so you don’t squish the tall frosted tops.

These Christmas Tree Brownie Bites are always a hit. They’re going to be your favorite for your holiday dessert trays, baking with your kids, or anytime you want an easy treat that everyone will love!

- Remove from the oven and use the back of a teaspoon measuring spoon to lightly indent each of the brownie cups. Let the brownies cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
