- Tastes like Hot Chocolate: Made with actual hot chocolate powder, and marshmallow cream, it tastes just like a sweet cup of cocoa!

Ingredients Needed
This is a quick overview of some of the ingredients you’ll need for this Hot Chocolate Dip Recipe. Specific measurements and full recipe instructions are in the printable recipe card below.
- Cream Cheese: Adds a little tanginess and makes the dip thick and creamy! Make sure to let it soften at room temperature for about an hour before mixing.
- Marshmallow Cream: Gives the dip its fluffy texture, and marshmallow flavor. Also, sometimes called Marshmallow Fluff.
- Cool Whip: Make sure to let it thaw so its nice and smooth and creamy and can be mixed easily in your chocolate dip. You can use homemade whipped cream if you don’t like using cool whip!
- Hot Chocolate Mix: We’re using the powdered hot chocolate mix, use your favorite!
- Mini Marshmallows: They make the dip look extra cute in a bowl when added as a topping, and add extra bursts of marshmallow too.

How to Make Hot Chocolate Dip
Step 1: Beat the Cream Cheese. Add the Cream Cheese to a bowl and beat with a hand mixer until its totally smooth and creamy.
Step 2: Make it Fluffy. Add in the Marshmallow Cream and Cool Whip and fold it all together until its fluffy, and creamy and smooth.
Step 3: Add in the Hot Chocolate Mix. Fold in the hot cocoa powder and mix until its evenly blended with no streaks of chocolate powder. Cover the dip and put it in the fridge for about 20-30 minutes. This will help the powder to dissolve so your dip isn’t gritty.
Step 4: Serve. Serve it up with a plate of dippers like shortbread, pretzels, Oreos, graham crackers, apple slices, strawberries, etc.

Tips and Tricks
- Make it Extra Chocolatey: The dip is lightly chocolatey as is, if you want it a little extra chocolatey, add a couple TBS of unsweetened cocoa powder (its already sweet enough to balance this) and top it with some mini chocolate chips so you get a bit of those in each spoonful!
- Find a Fun Bowl: Use a cute hot chocolate mug, or other festive bowl to serve the dip in, and set it up on a tray with the dippers for your holiday party!
- Flavor Twist: You can use your favorite flavor of hot cocoa mix to make this dip have a variety of flavors. I especially love it with peppermint cocoa.
- Storage Instructions: Cover the dip with plastic wrap or store it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 or 4 days.

This Hot Chocolate Dip is going to be your new favorite dip to make during the winter season. It’s so easy to make using your favorite hot chocolate mix, and you’ll love eating it with some cookies and fresh fruit!
