How to make Chocolate Chip Cookies in a Jar

Step 1: Mix the Dry Ingredients. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.

Step 2: Layer the Ingredients in the Jar. Add the dry ingredients into the bottom of a 32 oz jar. Alternate adding different colored ingredients so the colors stand out. I like to do the brown sugar, then granulated sugar, then chocolate chips, and M&Ms. The mix won’t quite come to the top of the jar.

Step 3: Decorate. Close the jars, tie the top with a bow and add the baking instructions on the jar with a tag tied on. Don’t forget to include the printable tag so everyone knows how to prepare the cookies with the mix!
Tips and Tricks
- Make them extra Festive: Add a couple Tablespoons of holiday sprinkles to the mix to make the cookies extra fun and festive.
- Attach the Tag: Don’t forget to add a cute tag with the baking instructions to make sure everyone you share these with can actually bake the cookies. Our tag lists the ingredients they’ll need to add (1/2 cup butter, 1 egg, and 1 tsp vanilla) and says how to prepare and bake the cookies.
- Yield: The recipe as prepared makes about 20 to 24 small cookies. The cookies can be made a little bigger if desired.
